TV Land

My son and I found a great deal on an old Magnavox TV from the '50s and had fun cleaning it up, taking out the old (nonworking) tube and screen and replacing it with a new digital 19" TV. Here is what it looked like when we bought it...

After cleaning it up, replacing the fabric covering the speaker area and adding a DVD player, here's what it looks like now...

Great job, is it in the wonderful 50's living room?

I am feeling guilty as I have been sadly neglecting my garden blog but I took lots of Halloween pics do hopefully I will get them up soon.

Looks great - wonderful idea! Is that a Nittany Lion (Penn State) on top of the TV? My dad had one of those - I didn't believe him when he told us that's what it was. I found a picture on the web, long after my dad was gone...

You know what you need to watch on that? Old B/W classics. Great job, really. I'm envious.
